Disconnection Challenge at BSS

Take A Break From Social Media

Disconnection Challenge at BSS

At Bayridge, we want to challenge students to disconnect from technology for a period of 3 days leading up to exams. The 3 day challenge would mean avoiding social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, snapchat, facebook), internet browsing (except for schoolwork like being on Google Classroom), and texting.

Taking a break from social media can increase productivity and help to relax. Have you looked at your screen time stats recently? How much time are you spending on apps that might actually be increasing your stress and anxiety? As a home form, we are going to track the number of days we can collectively disconnect from technology in these ways (social media, internet, and texting) to improve our productivity right before exams. Student council will be calculating grade points based on participation in each grade.
