Message to Families: Octomester Turnaround
Posted on 10/07/2020

Today was the last day of classes for OCTOMESTER -1.  Tomorrow is the Exam day for courses with exams. All exams are written in the morning, starting at 8:30 AM.  Students will be allowed to leave the school once finished the exam, after the initial hour. Please note, that if the student in your home has any incomplete work for their course, they will be asked to attend on Thursday to finish up.  Marks for all Octo-1 courses, both in the Virtual School and in person at BSS, will be posted to student accounts in My Blueprint by October 16th. As well, an unofficial report will be sent home with students attending classes at the school. Should you have any questions regarding this, please email or call the school.

On Friday we begin a new course in Octomester 2.  This block will run until November 10th with November 11th being the exam day and Octo-3 beginning the following day. Should a student in your home wish to switch from Live to Virtual or vice versa for Octomester 3, the deadline to inform the school is one week before Octomester 3 begins. Switching is only possible if there is space.

Check out the products available on School-Day. Bayridge swag, BSS water bottles, Grad Hoodies and more. All parents or guardians need to have a School-Day account. If you need assistance with accessing School-Day, please call the school.

And finally Blazers, our Academic Awards Ceremony, celebrating last school year’s achievements of our students, will be virtual.  Watch twitter and our website for this video very soon.  It will also be posted to our school You Tube Channel.  Students receiving this recognition, will be given their awards and certificates in class following the release of the virtual ceremony.

I wish you all a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend, please stay home and do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19, physically distance, reduce your social interactions, follow the provincial direction for gatherings and stay safe.
